This project was made for a university brief focused on user-centred design and prototyping. It involved redesigning Victoria University of Wellington's course selection experience based on primary and secondary research. I analysed competing university websites and systems and interviewed students to understand their frustrations with the existing process. In a nutshell, I found that VUW's current course selection had issues with scattered information, unclear navigation, and a lack of personalised guidance.
From these insights, I proposed a system with personalised recommendations, streamlined navigation, and an integrated timetable builder. I developed wireframes in Figma, carried out multiple rounds of user testing with students, and refined the design through iteration, all while creating visuals that fit with VUW's brand identity. The final prototype consolidated the entire course selection and enrolment journey into one cohesive, intuitive experience.
